Immobilized anhydrotrypsin selectively adsorbs peptides with Arg, Lys or AECys (S-aminoethyl cysteine) residues at the C-terminus under weakacidic conditions (1). Strongly acidic conditions are used to elute thebound peptides. Peptides with these amino acids at the N-terminus orinternally, as well as free amino acids are not bound. Serine proteaseinhibitors such as ecotin and PAI-A may also be purified on this resin
