Description: Recombinant SSBP1 produced in E Coli cells is a non-glycosylated, homodimeric protein containing 148 amino acid chain and having a molecular mass of 16.1kDa. The SSBP1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Introduction: Single-Stranded DNA Binding Protein 1 (SSBP) participates in mitochondrial biogenesis. SSBP binds preferentially and cooperatively to ss-DNA. The SSBP protein is involved in mitochondrial DNA replication and associates with mitochondrial DNA.
