Description: MPG Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 306 amino acids (1-298 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 33.9kDa (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).MPG is fused to an 8 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Introduction: DNA-3-methyladenine glycosylase (MPG) is a member of the DNA glycosylase MPG family. MPG initiates base excision repair in DNA by removing a wide variety of alkylated, deaminated, and lipid peroxidation-induced purine adducts.
