Description: MMP28 Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 421 amino acids (123-520a.a) and having a molecular mass of 47.3kDa. MMP28 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Introduction: MMP28, which belongs to the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family, takes part in the breakdown of extracellular matrix for both normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction and tissue remodeling, and disease processes, like asthma and metastasis. MMP28 is a secreted enzyme which degrades casein. MMP28 participates in tissue homeostasis and in wound repair.
