TACE FRET Substrate I; TNFa is presumably shed from cell membranes by TNFa-FW: (M.W. 1573.81) C70H104N22O18S [396716-14-6] cleaving enzyme (TACE). Incubation of the TACE substrate with recombinant human TACE gives a specific cleavage to restore the quenched fluorescence. The substrate is widely used to screen inhibitors of TNF-a converting enzyme (TACE, ADAM17 endopeptidase) activity.
