WB: In transfected MCF7 transiently expressing Human UGT8 a band of approx. 65kDa is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected MCF7. The calculated molecular size is 61.5kDa according to NP_003351.2. Recommended concentration, 1-3µg/ml.Preliminary experiments gave an approx 50kDa band in Human Brain lysates and 48KDa in Rat Brain lysates after 1µg/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 61.5kDa according to NP_003351.2. The observed band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field-have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?
