Short Description: Our alpha Tubulin antibody (mAb)(Clone 5-B-1-2) was raised in a Mouse host. It has been validated for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Western blot; it has been shown to react with Human and Mouse samples, but it is predicted that it will react with a wide range of sample types.
Background: Microtubules of the eukaryotic cytoskeleton perform essential and diverse functions and are composed of a heterodimer of a-tubulin and b-tubulin. Alpha Tubulin expression is reduced in cells deficient in MeCP2, leading to conditions such as Rett syndrome and autistic-spectrum disorders.
