Short Description: Our Tet2 antibody (mAb)(Clone 21F11) was raised in a Mouse host. It has been validated for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and Western blot; it has been shown to react with Human samples.
Background: Tet2 (tet methylcytosine dioxygenase 2) catalyzes the conversion of methylcytosine (5mC) to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC). Plays an important role in myelopoiesis. The clear function of 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (hmC) is still unclear but it may influence chromatin structure and recruit specific factors or may constitute an intermediate component in cytosine demethylation and differentiation in the case of inflammation by regulating gene expression and macrophage differentiation.
