Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitative ICTP in Human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ICTP. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated ICTP antibody. Following a wash to remove any unbound HRP-Conjugate reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ICTP bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Intended Uses: For the quantitative detection of Human C-telopeptide of type I collagen (ICTP) concentration in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
