S. typhi is a pathogen causing typhoid fever, it affects more than 17 million people with nearly 600,000 deaths annually in the world; untreated typhoid fever cases result in mortality rates ranging from 12-30%. S. typhi H antigen is a flagellin protein, strongly reacting to specific IgM and IgG produced from infected patient.
This recombinant S. typhi H antigen contains full length flagellin sequence with 35 kDa in molecular size, a 6 x his tag is fused at its C-terminus. It can be used for lateral flow immunoassay or ELISA assay to test specific S. typhi IgG and IgM.
