The product contains two Dengue proteins referred to as epi-10 and epi-13 packaged in separate vials. The proteins are constructed with different Dengue epitopes frol11 Dengue Serotypes 1-4. When used together in a lateral flow assay, the proteins can detect antibodies to Dengue Serotypes 1-4. For lateral flow, the protein s should be conjugated to colloidal separately and then mixed together by ratio, epi-10 conjugate 60 to 70% and epi-13 conjugate 30 to 40%. This ratio is a recommendation only and researchers should optimize for their own model system.
Genetically designed dengue multiple epitopes epi-10 and epi-13 are designed for developing lateral flow assays. When used together, epi-10 and epi-13 provide coverage for all 4 dengue serotypes. Lateral flow assays such as rapid tests prepared by using epi-10 and epi-13 antigens in combination have been shown to have over 90% sensitivity and show strong signal for both dengue IgM and IgG antibodies. Results may vary for individual researchers.
