- Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase F or Leukocyte Common Antigen Related protein is encoded by the gene PTPRF and is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PRPRF is a transmembrane protein involved in regulation of insulin signaling, cell proliferation and cell migration. PTPRF functions in the regulation of epithelial cell-cell contacts at adherens junctions, as well as in the control of beta-catenin signaling. PTPRF is ubiquitously expressed.
