LRRTM4 may play a role in the development and maintenance of the vertebrate nervous system. LRRTM4 exhibits strong synaptogenic activity, restricted to excitatory presynaptic differentiation. LRRTM4 is expressed in neuronal tissues. No disorders were found to be associated with LRRTM4.
