- Dynein heavy chain 1, axonemal, Axonemal Beta Dynein Heavy Chain 1 or DNAH1 is encoded by the gene DNAH1. DNAH1 is a type of heavy chain that makes up a larger protein complex of dynein arms of ciliary axonemes. DNAH1 is xxpressed primarily in trachea, testis and brain. Diseases associated with DNAH1 include Ciliary Dyskinesia, Kartagener Ayndrome and Spermatogenic Failure 18.
